Sonja Elder joined Grace Health in 2016 as Vice President/Chief Information Officer. She received a both a Bachelors and Masters degree in Health Care Administration from Ashford University.

Sonja has over 20 years of technology experience in both government and private sectors. She started her technology career at the Battle Creek Veterans Administration. She has worked in management in multiple healthcare organizations, including hospitals.  Sonja is well versed in: enterprise reporting, managing personnel, process improvement, strategic planning, budgeting and operations, and quality and compliance. She oversees the following Grace Health departments:  Information Technology and Compliance.

Scott Hutchings, CPA

Vice President/Chief Financial Officer

Scott Hutchings joined Grace Health in 2009 as Chief Financial Officer. In January 2011, he became the Vice President/CFO. He received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, majoring in accountancy, from Western Michigan University and received certification through the State of Michigan as a Public Accountant.

Scott has over 30 years of financial experience in both public and private sectors. He started his career with Plante & Moran in their audit department and then became the CFO of a staffing firm where he spent 13 years. Scott is well versed in: financial reporting, managing personnel, process improvement, strategic planning, budgeting, risk management and operations.  He oversees the following Grace Health departments:  Finance, Patient Accounts, Facilities, and Marketing.

Scott currently serves on the Michigan Primary Care Association Board, Michigan Primary Care Association Finance Committee, Michigan Community Health Network Finance Committee, NextGen RCM Advisory Board, and Battle Creek Community Foundation Audit Committee.  His previous community service involvement includes:  Treasurer and President at Volunteer Center of Battle Creek and Treasurer of Kingman Museum.
