What I love about being a counselor is being there for others. I love counseling because it provides a voice to those who have been or have felt voiceless. Often times people are greeted with the simple question of how are you doing, but not feeling comfortable to truly express how they feel. With counseling you can be your true authentic self, discussing life concerns, proud moments, and everything in between. Counseling can be a great benefit and I hope more people will take advantage of it.

I love working in pharmacy because of the people. The number one reason most people go into healthcare is wanting to help others. I wanted to help people lead healthier lifestyles and hopefully prevent chronic health conditions. Over time, I realized I enjoy educating others especially young people. As a Physician Assistant, not only can I provide education I can also diagnose and treat medical problems if they arise. Currently, I find it rewarding working with the adolescent population, assisting them in advocating for their own health care and helping give them the building blocks to make the best decisions for their own health.
