When you are unsure, call Grace Health first. Our team can help guide you to the care you need and may save you time and an unnecessary trip to the emergency room.

Get the Right Care at the Right Time

Below are helpful tips to guide you on when to go to the emergency room and when to call us.

Life-Threatening:  Go to the hospital emergency room or call 9-1-1

  • Bleeding will not stop
  • Breathing difficulty
  • Chest pain
  • Head injury
  • Loss of consciousess
  • Severe belly pain
  • Signs of stroke (face drooping, arm feels weak/numb, speech is hard to understand)

If you go to the emergency room (ER):  Give the ER staff the name of your doctor/PCP (Primary Care Provider); call your doctor/PCP after every ER visit; a follow-up office visit may be needed.

Non-Life-Threatening:  Call Grace Health at (269) 965-8866 or come to Walk-Ins
