I became interested in healthcare when my older sister became a nurse.  Nursing seemed like a great option for me as it allowed so many opportunities to learn and grow professionally.  Being a bedside nurse was very rewarding, as I was able to help people when they needed me the most.  However, because of these bedside experiences, I began to appreciate the importance of preventative care and health maintenance.  So, I went back to school and became a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner specializing in Primary Care.
